I had that Ayran stuff, man was it disgusting. This is not like that at all. Similar in texture and consistency, but it is sweet and tastes really good

Laura, I think that was me you were talking to. I agree, being here has definitely increased my level of patience (of which I have almost none). It's either be calm and know that getting upset or frustrated will solve nothing (complaining especially almost always accomplishes nothing) or don't be calm, let every little thing get to you, and have an aneurysm in a month or two.

Stevo, sounds like a great subject for your next post! I do hate standing in line. As Cartman would say, "I haaate lines!" I think maybe it's more the unnecessary standing and not so much the waiting. Personally I avoid fast food at all costs. Though I hear that in China the American fast food restaurants are quite nice?

Bank lines? I can't be zen while waiting my turn at the BOC ATM.

The lines drive me crazy. I can do an ATM transaction in 22 seconds. Why does the average ATM transaction in China take 22 minutes?

I am thinking of running a Speed Banking course, as well as one on ordering properly at KFC or McDs.

thats right! you earn your zen there. srsly. i remember mentioning to someone (i believe while we were waiting for a taxi outside of north gate) that being in china has really reinforced my zen-a-bility, versus the old lack-of-anger-management.

bank lines? no problem. bank and bar lines? pssh... no biggie. just close your eyes and think of pandas.

and at least now you have your permit. whats next?

Asians are lactose intolerant and have nothing to do with milk or cheese. The yogurt drink probably has the enzymes or lack there of to aid their digestion. Now you know! Love Mom

Great photo. There's a brand here that advertises, "Real Milk" on the carton. It actually is.
