Fishing on the Li River
I snapped this one (discreetly) on the banks of the Li River in Guilin. That’s Elephant Trunk Hill in the background. The Li River can be busy and noisy with the myriad of fishing boats, cruise ships, and people hawking stuff. It can also be beautiful and totally serene, which is what I imagine this man was experiencing on the balmy afternoon in Guilin.

Guilin during the summer is trippy. Everyone (and his brother) is sight-seeing in the lovely town.
Did you get to Princes City?
Guilin is an awesome city but I liked Yangshuo better, it has a much more laid-back feel to it. I can only imagine it is extremely hot and humid during the summer. Is that true?
I don’t think I got to Princess (sp?) City. What/where is it? I only had half a day to see the sights in Guilin so I didn’t get to much.
Great peaceful scene. I almost made it here a couple of years ago but had to postpone it. And haven’t found the time to reschedule yet.
You know I was right there last year but didn’t know about Elephant Trunk Hill. It was a spur of the moment business trip over to Guilin! Next time!
