Thank you. Fortunately I have renter's insurance, so the monetary cost should be (mostly) covered. But it won't cover the loss of my trusty travel companion. Oh well, all good things must come to an end, right? The new camera I picked up has actually worked pretty well over the weekend, and I got it relatively cheap. I think I will survive. THAT SUCKS!!! I'm sorry for your loss. My camera is my friend as well. A few years ago I had a better camera than I have now, and I loaned her out to someone I thought would take good care of her... and he lost her. So, I identify with your pain.
