Funny Sign Friday

This sign comes from Maiji Shan in Tianshui, Gansu Province.
And if the bird sings, the wind blows, and butterfly dances in the air? Run like hell.

Nice. I once saw a similar sign near a Xinjiang mosque that said “Watch for falling tiles” (the mosque was tiled) at which point I wanted to scream back “Why don’t you just stinkin’ maintain your so-called historical site so I don’t have to dodge falling debris?!”
And then I remembered that nobody nearby spoke English and I didn’t know how to say that in Chinese. Oh well.
Funny signs Friday cracks me up!!
I love the Chinglish signs – while many are hilarous some just recur and are entertaining. Favourites include “don’t forget to carry your thing” (don’t leave anything on the train) and “take water place” (for safe drinking water). Menus are a great source.
