@Laura: Sorry, no fireworks. There was delicious sangrea though. And a bottle of baijiu. Oh, the baijiu....

@Alan: No, it's not what you think. Once I get back to the states and get checked out and everything, I'll go into the details. It's nothing gross though, I promise.

@Carrie: Yes, there were a couple of silver linings to me missing my flight. In the end I think it worked out pretty well. Not to mention the "incidents" going on in Xinjiang at the moment. I don't think I'd want to be in the middle of that anyway.

As always your kind words are very much appreciated. For the next week or two things will be very hectic. But once I'm back in the states I'll have some R&R time to work hard on my blog. For all the nice things that you say about my blog and my writing, I wouldn't want to disappoint!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear you missed your flight. However, if it gives you time to recover, then at least there is a silver lining to all of this. There's nothing worse than being sick in China. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to see a doctor. Every time I went, I was hooked up to an IV and told that I needed to drink more fluids (er...for an ear infection???) :-)

I really liked your article on Asian Ramblings. Great job, Graham. And thanks very much for your guest post and hard work!

"Without going into the details" -- I think I know what THAT means. Hope you're feeling better! Drink fluids!
