About

Hi!  My name is Graham and this blog is simply about me.  Via this page I intend to keep my friends and family updated on my life: what I do day-to-day, the crazy and interesting things I see and experience, what I’m eating, where I’m going, whatever.  In December 2008 I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.  Instead of going straight into the work force with my hard-earned degree, I’ve decided to take some time off and see a part of the world that I’ve always dreamed about visiting: Asia.

On February 16, 2009, I moved to Xi’an, China to live and work as an English language teacher at one of the top five foreign language universities in the country.  While I am here I intend to explore as much of Southeast Asia as I can, learn as much Mandarin Chinese as possible, absorb and live the culture of the Chinese people, and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

So if you’re interested in what I have to write about on this little space of mine, please read.  If you want to get a small taste of what it’s like for an American to live in China, come back soon because I’ll try to update often.  And please, by all means, leave comments.  I can always use the encouragement!
